Job Title: TGT Mathematics

Job Summary:

The TGT Mathematics teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and effective mathematics instruction to students from classes VI to X, in accordance with the CBSE curriculum. The teacher is expected to foster critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and a love for mathematics among students, while maintaining discipline and encouraging academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Academic Instruction:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver daily mathematics lessons aligned with CBSE curriculum for grades VI–X
• Use innovative teaching methodologies (activity-based learning, visual aids, digital tools) to make concepts clear and engaging.
• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, and assessments in line with annual academic plans.
• Assessment & Evaluation:
• Conduct regular class tests, assignments, and periodic assessments as per school schedule.
• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
• Maintain records of student progress and share updates with parents through PTMs and report cards.
• Classroom Management:
• Maintain discipline and ensure a positive, respectful learning environment.
• Monitor student behavior and enforce school rules and regulations.
• Curriculum Development:
• Contribute to academic planning and curriculum enrichment activities.
• Participate in departmental meetings and suggest improvements in content delivery and student evaluation.
• Student Support:
• Provide additional academic support to students who need help understanding mathematical concepts.
• Encourage participation in math-related competitions, Olympiads, and co-curricular activities.
• Professional Development:
• Attend workshops, training sessions, and seminars to enhance teaching skills.
• Stay updated with latest developments in mathematics education and pedagogy.
• General Duties:
• Maintain proper documentation of lesson plans and student records.
• Coordinate with parents, colleagues, and school management for smooth academic functioning.
• Take part in school events, functions, and other responsibilities assigned by the Principal.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduate in Mathematics (B.Sc./B.A. with Mathematics)
• B.Ed. (mandatory)
• Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience at the middle or secondary school level.
• Familiarity with CBSE syllabus and CCE/evaluation norms.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching mathematics.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Proficiency in using digital tools (smart boards, online teaching platforms).
• Patience, empathy, and ability to connect with students.
